Mars Bar Slice

Mars Bar Slice – An Amazingly Simple, Quick, Delicious Slice!

The first time I tried Mars Bar slice was around 7 years old at my friend Tammy’s house. It is one recipe I never get sick of and every time I make this slice it reminds me of my beautiful friend – So special that something like a simple recipe can bring back so many wonderful childhood memories.

Normally I am really good with sharing my baked goodies – I usually either invite friends over for some afternoon tea or I take it to work for morning tea but this slice brings out the greedy Hannah. I like to keep it all to myself and nibble at it over the course of a week hehe. It can be a little on the expensive side so I wait until the Mars Bars  & chocolate are on special. It literally takes about 30 minutes to whip up and about an hour or two in the fridge to cool & set. So if you are after something simple, easy & delicious to make then this recipe is for you.

Mars Bar Slice

4 ingredients – 1 bag of 12 mini Mars Bars, 100g of butter, 3 cups rice bubbles, I x block of milk chocolate, 60g of butter

Step one – cut the Mars Bars up into smaller pieces (this will help them melt easier) add Mars Bars to a warm pot with 100g of butter allow to melt completely. While melting line a slice tray with baking paper or lightly grease

Step two – add 3 cups of rice bubbles to melted Mars Bars mixture. Stir rice bubble through until completed coated. Tip into slice pan and spread and flatten neatly.
